I'm a retired Olympic Distance Runner and part-time Fitness Model. I currently live in NYC and work for the New York Road Runners as the Sr. Manager of Runner Training & Education. Prior to New York, I lived in Griefswald, Germany & before that, Boulder, Colorado. I competed at the 2004 Olympics for Equatorial Guinea running the 1500 meters. Other highlights include competing at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships & XTERRA Trail World Championships where I've placed 7th & 5th respectively in 2012 & 2013. In 1994, I moved to Westchester, New York from Swaziland, where I was living with my parents. In New York, I attended Fox Lane High School, where I lettered in Basketball, Indoor/Outdoor Track as well as Cross Country. I debuted on the High School varsity team as an 8th grader, after running a 4:58 mile in gym class.
Prior to America, I had the pleasure of visiting and living in a myriad of countries both with my folks and alone. Some of them include: Mali, Egypt, Swaziland, South Africa, France, Belgium, New Zealand, Spain, Germany, Equatorial Guinea & Australia amongst others.
An early exposure to different cultures and languages ignited my love of traveling, the arts and sports. Today I consider myself a bit of a polyglot, speaking Spanish (native language), English, French, a bit of Italian and most recently German. When not competing or modelling, I enjoy reading, playing guitar, traveling, computer programming, surfing & supporting my favourite team: FC Barçelona.
